The Importance of Having Positive Google Reviews For Your Business

How important are Google Reviews?  Recent surveys show that 87% of consumers trust online reviews as much as they do personal recommendations.  If you have bad (or no) reviews online, all of your other marketing efforts are in vain, and you are losing customers to your competition.  We can start getting you REAL REVIEWS in under 24 hours!  And our Online Review Software will enable you to get an ongoing, steady flow of 4- & 5-star reviews for your business!

In order to be able to get those reviews, first you have to have a Google My Business (GMB) page, and it needs to be set up correctly (see our GMB Page Setup service) .  Without it, Google doesn’t even know your business exists.  You won’t show up in local searches, you won’t be able to get into the coveted Google Maps 3-Pack, you won’t get reviews, and you won’t get found in local search results.

Google’s Local Search Ranking algorithm takes many things into consideration.  One of the most important things is the quality of your business’ Google reviews.  As you can see, your reviews are the 2nd most important thing according to Google.  They need to be of either 4- or 5-star quality, and you have to be getting them on a regular basis.  The more quality reviews you have, the more Google loves you!  You can’t stop negative reviews, but you can “bury them” with a steady flow of positive ones.  Our Online Review Tool does exactly that…and it’s super simple to use!

Lesson: Your reviews can make or break your success in getting local consumers to find your business when they do local searches!

First, you have to ask yourself…”How do Google reviews even work?”

If your Google My Business page happens to have great reviews, then kudos to you…we will talk about your situation in a moment.  But we know there are lots and lots of business owners out there reading this, and you know you’ve got a big problem on your hands with regards to how Google reviews actually work.  Now you may have tried the old fashion way, by asking your clients/customers to leave you a review on Google.  But we all know what happens when you do it this way…your customer/client leaves, the conversation ends, then life happens, and they completely forget to leave your business a review.

Just a quick statistic by the way…In today’s world, with Google being so prevalent, a company called Bright Local did a survey and found that 87% of people trust online reviews as much as they do a personal recommendation to a business.  So, you must be wondering how Google reviews really work, and how the heck do I get people to actually leave a review for my business?  To be honest with you, most people who go out of their way to leave a review on their own, actually leave a bad one.  So you’re probably wondering how in the world you get people to leave you a good review.

Here is the solution!

We are here to tell you that asking people to leave your business a Google review just simply does not work with all the distractions around us.  People are so glued to their cell phones, and have 100 different things happening in their lives at all times.  They will simply forget to leave that review for you.  So how can you get reviews from your customers if you ask them and they don’t do it? Well, you’re in luck, because today our company has a simple but powerful tool that thousands of businesses are using right now to increase their Google reviews for their business.  Click Here to watch a short video of how our software works, helping you to increase your Google reviews.

How To Ask Your Customers For Google Reviews

Basically, in a nutshell, to ask for Google reviews, you finish doing business with your customer or client.  Hopefully, they had a great experience with you.  So you ask them (as you normally would), “Would you be kind enough to leave us a Google review?” (just a side note…on average, 68% of customers will leave a review when asked).  If they say “yes”, you pull up the review portal that we will give you (it can be accessed on any device(s) you want) .  Then, all you have to do is enter the customer’s name, email, and/or cell phone number, and press “Send”.  That’s it, the process is done on your part!  Your customer will then get an email and/or a text message, asking them to leave a review for your business.

But What Happens If They Don’t Click The Link?

If they do not click the link and leave a review, a few days later, they will be sent a follow-up message with a link making sure they leave a review.  Once they click the link, they can be asked questions such as, “How likely are you to refer a friend here?”, etc.  Then, after the questions (if any are used), the Review tool asks them to leave a star rating about their experience with your business.  If the customer leaves a 1 to 3 star review, instead of going directly to your Google review page, they are instead taken to a customer support survey (that you have access to).  That gives you the opportunity to reach out to them and work with them on fixing the issues they had.  At the bottom of the survey, there is a tiny link where they can continue on to Google to leave the review if they really want to.  The link is pretty hidden, but we have to have it there to be in compliance with Google’s terms.

Now, if the customer gives you a 4 or 5 star rating, they are taken to a page with a big button, which asks them to leave you a Google review.  They, then leave you a nice Google review about their experience with your business, and that is the end of the process.  That is how to get better google reviews, and in the process, how to bury/overcome negative Google reviews…by “overpowering” them with all of the good ones.  This then results in you having an automated system to get your business a constant flow of positive Google reviews.

Do You Even Have This Problem?

You may be telling yourself “I don’t have this problem”.  You might have a nice 5 star rating with a few reviews.  That’s great, but it really matters that your reviews are recent.

In the last year, there’s been a huge increase in consumers expecting reviews to be new. The proportion of consumers who are solely impacted by reviews written within the past two weeks has more than doubled.  Over to the left, check out some facts from Bright Local’s latest survey!

Local businesses need to keep fresh reviews coming in if they want to impress potential customers/clients.  Remember, if you don’t ask for reviews, you don’t get any.
